WIP Metal Casting
My experiments into metal casting.
I am exploring possibilities of metal casting. The idea is to combine it in next tests with my ceramic and terra-cotta slip casts to achieve hybrid modular components that have integrated structural reinforcement or integrated electrical services.

Prototypes for Urban Dwelling
Intermediate Unit 6 investigates the critical application of innovative digital design and construction processes within the context of the challenges that cities face today. Deploying fabrication-based design strategies within dense urban environments, we will develop architectural structures that negotiate their spatial and material configuration w ithin contexts of limited resources, infrastructure and space. Structuring the year into tw o interdependent phases, students w ill w ork collaboratively on the design and construction of 1:1 scale prototypes, as w ell as individually on the development of projects addressing contextual aspects such as program and site.

awaiting decision or settlement : nine cases were still pending.
• about to happen; imminent : with a presidential election pending, it would be wrong to force the changes through now | the pending disaster.
until (something) happens or takes place : they were released on bail pending an appeal.

Pending means something is ambiguous. It does not look quite right. You don’t think it is going to stand up. Where is the point of gravity? Let’s do a staircase opposite a staircase. We need an angle so that people can stand underneath. Oh I wouldnt want to stand underneath that structure. Oh ok, but we designed it. It looks quite fragile.

One of my hobbies to break from architecture studies is tinkering with electronics. My ambition is to build a flying machine from scratch that can carry a camera and survey a site to create a three-dimensional map of space.
